impromptu beach play

daddy was scheduled to fly out in 4 1/2 hours. we thought a nice, short walk on the beach before he left town for a week would be the perfect way to spend the last couple of hours together as a family. well, it ended up being an hour long beach play time. we were completely unprepared. no extra clothes were packed. no beach towels. no sand toys. nothing. and you know what? it turned out perfectly. it almost always does. the unexpected detours always provide the most memorable of experiences.
